Township of Sparta is seeking and administrative assistant\clerk for the Department of Community Development.  Approximately 28 hours per week.  This position reports directly to the Director of Community Development and will provide administrative and clerical support to all Divisions which include Planning, Zoning, Municipal Engineer, Construction Services, and Parks and Recreation.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to processing of purchase orders, typing, filing, copying of technical reports and bid packages, responding to residents’ concerns, handling calls for the Solid Waste Utility, assisting the Construction Division and any other duties the Director may assign.  Person should have some experienced in Municipal Government and be familiar with budgeting and have excellent customer service skills.  Experience with recycling tonnage reports and clean communities activities is a plus.  All interested candidates must submit a cover letter and resume to Eric Powell, PE, Director of Community Development via email to  Resume deadline is July 20, 2018
